Fund Raiser for Attorney's fees

Hello everyone and thank you again for supporting the opposition to the construction and operation of a solar power plant on the Delalio sod farm. As you all know, the Planning Board has approved the project and the only way to stop the project as this point is to hire an attorney to bring an Article 78 proceeding against the Town of Brookhaven, and likely LIPA. We have been working on collecting money and as of today, we have close to $15,000, with a goal of $25,000. I know you all expressed opposition to the solar power plant, but now it is time to please donate to pay for the attorney. As of last night, we know of TWO families that live on Sherwood Drive with homes for sale - each had accepted verbal offers to purchase their homes withdrawn upon approval of the solar power plant. This can (and likely will) happen to anyone living close to the project. Most neighbors have donated $500 to $1,000, which I know is a lot of money; however, each of us felt that giving this money now would save us money in the long run should we chose to sell, refinance, etc. If you are not able or do not want to donate that much money, please give any amount you are comfortable with. Please make the check out directly to our attorney - The Law Offices of Frederick Eisenbud - and drop it to Mike Goralski's house at 49 Sherwood Dr. We need to receive all checks by Monday, November 10 as we will be dropping all paperwork and checks to the lawyer on Monday, so they can get started. We have to get everything on file by November 19 and there are a TON of documents to go through so time is short. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you!!
