HELP OUR DOGS! Blue River, CO is a mountain town with many dogs and even more wildlife. Although there are dog pens "grandfathered-in" all over town, two years ago the town code was rewritten. No new fences of any kind are permitted, despite the suggestion from the Planning & Zoning Commission to allow dog pens. Outrageous! Dog pens are absolutely necessary in this high mountain environment to keep animals separate and safe. Electric fences do not provide an adequate barrier between dogs and wildlife, nor does tying a dog up outside. Please support our dogs and their right to a reasonably sized pen. Sign this petition to help us change the town code to again allow dog pens.
