Recently, it has been brought to our attention that the Downtown Boone Development Association is proposing a measure which would BAN FOOD TRUCKS in the Downtown District. Food Trucks are an innovative, creative way to bring greater economic vitality to the businesses of Downtown Boone! Particularly given this year’s events, we feel our community deserves access to quick, safe, and delicious food options throughout Boone. 

We, the owners of Smokin’ J’s BBQ and Everybody’s Loaded Biscuits, request that the Boone Town Council identify areas of the Downtown District as appropriate for Food Trucks, as well as allow business owners within the district to offer privately-owned parking spaces to Food Trucks, at their discretion.
