Dear Supporters, A reminder that we'll be leafleting outside Spiegelhalter's tomorrow (Saturday) from midday until we run out of leaflets. Do come and say hello. Oliver Bradbury, a member of the Georgian Society, has pointed out that the cornice of 81 Mile End Road may suggest an earlier date for the Spiegelhalter's facade - i.e before 1830, after which date buildings are classified as 'Early Victorian'. He has contacted the Georgian Society, who are investigating. Is Spiegelhalter's Georgian, or Early Victorian? The recent disgraceful demolition of Georgian Terraces in Dalston Lane by Hackney Council (http://hackneycitizen.co.uk/2014/11/25/open-dalston-loses-judicial-review-dalston-lane/) makes our case for the preservation of Spiegelhalter's facade even more compelling. It can be saved, and must be saved. Spread the word! David
