Hello all. You may be interested to know that our local police force are not stopping with seizing the stock of this shop and the one in Barnstaple, they are continuing to work to rid our towns of these dangerous substances. PC Mallows has invited me to speak with him along with others who have witnessed the terrible effects of legal highs to see how we can work together to tackle this problem. Rest assured, I will be putting your stories forward. All of you who have signed and left comments about your fears and experiences have made your voice heard and I intend to keep the momentum going. I'm sure you'll agree that education is now vital to get the message out there that these highs are DEADLY. The police want to encourage people like you and I to get out there - on social media or in your local pub, at the school gate, at work - and make sure people are hearing about the dangers. The people who peddle these drugs are living in your town, in your street. I say let's make life hard for them. These substances will be ILLEGAL in April 2016 when new laws come into effect but that's not the end of the story. The police have made it very clear that they are going to use all their powers to take these drugs out of circulation and prosecute anyone found distributing them. In the meantime, we can make sure our children and the vulnerable people who need society to care for them most are armed with knowledge and take the market for legal highs away. So watch this space for initiatives you can get involved in. Look out too for a new Facebook page on the way where we can share ideas and information. I'll post the link as soon as it's ip and running. This is all possible because of YOU so thank you again for signing and sharing this petition. It's still working. Sarah
