Off to a great start, thank you!

I thank you for your support.! Please share this with everyone you know who is a Medicinal Marijuana (MMA) user, client of PWA who accesses their Financial Assistance (FA) for MMA, and supporters, and have them sign and share this as well please. There were about 300 clients who accessed the FA for MMA so those folks have already experienced a huge negative financial impact. I am sure we can get 300 PWA clients to sign this petition and have the decision reversed. I know that the ED Murray who is on leave would never have allowed this to happen. The 5 years I was Service Access Manager when we would annually review the FA Guidelines I advocated for MMA to be reduced to $25 a month, instead of the $50, and he said no 5 years in a row. People would still get $250 a year for MMA, it would have been spaced out over 10 months instead of 5. I can't imagine he'd allow it to be cut out completely. In Murray's absence, to cut MMA completely, was a horrible decision by Gareth and Suzanne which completely goes against everything that PWA used to be and stood for. MMA is a significant form of treatment for so many people and it has been a cornerstone of the PWA FA program for decades. It is unconscionable that it was completely eliminated and if enough of us speak up I know we can get MMA back into the FA program. Thanks and Happy Canada Day!
