Hi everyone,
Just a quick update to say that our protest on Saturday was an absolute success. We made our demands for a living wage and trade union rights heard loud and clear not only in London but across the country.
Over 200 people came to support us including John Mcdonnell, the Shadow Chancellor.
We also protested at John Lewis, where the cleaners are also members of the union United Voices of the World and are paid only the minimum wage and are excluded from the partnership model.
All the major newspapers and outlets including The Guardian, The Independent, Sky News, Evening Standard and many others reported on our demonstration.
Here is a short video someone put together - https://www.facebook.com/uvwunion/videos/1070676879667217/
And here is a news report for HispanTV. From 1 minute in you can hear Susana speak and even if you don't understand Spanish it's still worth a watch as you can hear how emotionally hurt she is as a result of months of being bullied and victimised by Britannia Services Group.
