Too many lives lost to suicide. Stand with PIPS Charity. Demand Change.
Too many lives in Northern Ireland are being lost to suicide. Behind every life lost is a person who mattered — a son, daughter, parent, friend, or neighbour. Families are grieving, communities are hurting, and the support meant to protect people is being weakened at the very moment it’s needed most.
The Northern Ireland Mental Health Strategy was created to bring hope, reform, and life-saving change. It promised better services, shorter waiting times, and a system that truly cared for people in crisis.
But now, that promise is being rolled back.
Cuts to mental health funding — and the scaling back of the Mental Health Strategy — will have devastating consequences for individuals, families, frontline workers, and entire communities. When mental health support is weakened, people fall through the cracks. Lives are put at risk.
Mental health is not a luxury. It is a lifeline. And right now, that lifeline is being stretched beyond breaking point.
PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity is calling on the Northern Ireland Executive to:
Fully restore commitment to the Mental Health Strategy
Protect funding for essential mental health services
Recognise that cutting support costs lives
Listen to those most affected — families, young people, and frontline workers
We need leadership.
We need compassion.
We need action — now.
Every life lost leaves a ripple of heartbreak.
Every person deserves timely, compassionate, life-saving support.
Hope cannot — and must not — be scaled back.
By signing this petition, you’re sending a clear message to the Executive:
We demand better.
Our communities deserve better.
And we will not stay silent.
Stand with PIPS.
Stand for hope.
Demand change.
