We are delighted to invite you to a special screening of ‘Sale of the Sea’ at Garter Lane Theatre in Waterford on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at 7:30 PM (claim your free tickets below).
Sale of the Sea is a documentary by Irish filmmaker Mary Sue Connolly exploring Ireland’s rapid expansion of offshore wind energy. Through interviews, on-the-ground footage, and investigative storytelling, Connolly asks how climate targets can be achieved while safeguarding coastal environments and communities.
The film raises important questions about where and how renewable energy developments are sited. Presented by Blue Horizon, the film will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A, encouraging open & respectful dialogue on renewable energy, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.
We are really looking forward to seeing you there. This screening is part of our shared effort to foster understanding and dialogue around offshore energy projects while encouraging greater awareness of how decisions made today shape the future of our seas and coastline.
