In the wake of the Hep A contamination of frozen berry products and given the number of food contaminations of late causing serious illness, consumers need to be in possession of clear and accurate data to inform decision-making regarding foods. The government is mandated to protect public health so that avoidable threats are eliminated.

Ensure that Parliament to tighten legislation to guarantee:

1.more stringent standards for banning importation of foods that fall below standard in favour of clean, local produce and 

2.  clearly (in large print) and accurately indicating on packaging where food comes from as well as where it was packaged and processed. 

 We need to know our food is not poisonous!
