I read an article by sott.net (following text is referring to this article) and therefore have been informed about the "sad decision" Tokyo Electric Power Co. (Tepco) has made.

They are planning to dump the nuclear waste, highly radioactive water, contaminated by the recent nuclear accident in Fukushima, into the pacific ocean. I am talking about an amount of 430,000 tons of nuclear waste being spread all around the world through the great streams of the world's oceans.

According to Japan Times, Tepco already dumped 560 tons into the pacific ocean last wednesday. It's estaminated that 100 tons of contaminated water will be dumped every day soon.

"Tokyo Electric Power Co. has started to redirect groundwater [from the reactor containment] of reactor block 1 of the nuclear power plant in Fukushima into the pacific ocean. [...]"

Tepco assured that the radioactive pollution of the water, which is to be redirected into the sea, is "within the radiation limits requried by the law". Yet, they don't have an explanation for the all-time high of the radiation level measured just some days ago.

"The radiation levels have reached an all-time high at five measuring points in the water around the nearby environment of the destroyed reactor block Fukushima 1, the operating company Tepco reported last friday. [...]
Between the water intakes of block 2 and 3 1900 Becquerel per liter have been measured, originating from tritium.[...]"

This isn't only a problem for Japan but for the rest of the world. Radioactive material from Fukushima has been found all around the world. Fragments of the nuclear fuel of Fukushima has been found in the far away Norway. 

If this nuclear waste firstly gets into the sea and therefore also the food chain, it will be a tough question to be answered where it will finally be dumped.

I hereby call upon all the main stream media and press: Report about this incident! Please let this not be happen! There has to be another solution because dumping hundred-thousands of nuclear waste into the pacific ocean is not an acceptable option at all!
