Fix traffic problems on the North Shore.....traffic problems on the North Shore are all a function of the poor performance of Highway 1 and Highway 99.

Highway 1 travels east/west across the North Shore and is one of two routes across the North Shore, Highway 1 is completely inadequate and not safe for the thousands of users every day. Most of the problem is a lack of capacity of the Ironworker's Memorial, 2nd Narrows Bridge and daily monster backups throughout the North Shore.

Highway 99 travels over the Lions Gate, 1st Narrows Bridge and this bridge is over capacity also, causing monster backups too.

As we move forward the demand for travellers across and through the North Shore is going to increase, we need a massive upgrade to our road systems.

We need upgrades to the existing routes and a 3rd Crossing (maybe a twin to the Ironworker's Memorial, 2nd Narrows Bridge) to relieve the North Shore of massive daily traffic back ups. These backups are probably the worst daily in British Columbia.
