We did it! All of the paperwork was completed and turned in to the City of Santa Ana, California yesterday along with the funds to have the Kenneth Clair Exoneration Rally. I am very excited, and I know most of all, everyone that has supported this petition shares the same excitement. http://cric.cjfordpi.org (Click link to donate) We will be having a rally in the “Plaza of the Flags”. The thing about this venue is that this plaza is adjacent to the Orange County Court House, The State Building, and The Federal Building. We will be having speakers from the community and elsewhere speaking about the issue of justice. We will be lifting up Kenneth Clair, and everyone that has been caught up in this prosecution cycle of “win” at all cost. Our setup time on February 3 is 10:00 AM. The event will start at 12 o'clock noon and go to about 2:30 PM, and then we need to tear down the event. I would like each and every one of you that can attend to come. Also, anyone who is a supporter who would like to speak about the situation and the justice system is welcome to contact me, and hopefully I can get you on the schedule too. This is our campaign, and I want to make sure that our people participate in the events. I am sending this information out to the media today, and I am hoping for a record crowd. This is a peaceful showing of our Constitutional right of “Free Speech”. On Tuesday, January 26, I will be going to bat for us at the Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting. If you live locally, and can attend this event it would be most appreciated. If you would like to be one of the people who can give a 3 minute presentation to the board, please let me know. My intentions are to visit Mr. Clair sometime this week, or by the weekend. He appreciates all of the letters that he has been getting and the letters that you have been sending to him, has restored his hope that one day he may be able to get an exoneration. Again, it has always been about how you have responded as a supporter to Mr. Clair, and the fight to put mandatory punishment on the books for prosecutors who maliciously withhold exculpatory and other evidence with the intent to unjustly incarcerate innocent individuals just to “win at all cost”. NO MORE DIRTY TRICKS TO CONVICT…. We still need to continue to pass this petition out and get signatures. The great thing about this event is that we will be signing new people at the rally, and also getting additional donations so we can continue this campaign. We have put too much into this right now, to stand still or to go backwards. The next phase of this campaign, after this rally, will be to go to Sacramento on Legislative Day. We will be asking the Jerry Brown, the governor, to Exonerate Kenneth Clair. We will be holding a similar rally there. I will be getting our permits as soon as we have funding. We will also be trying to get lawmakers to work with us on the Senate Bill that I am creating. Hopefully, each state will be able to adapt a similar bill, or my efforts are to go to our State’s Federal Representatives so that it will become a Federal law. Either way, this campaign is about exonerating an innocent man, providing a platform so that other people in Mr. Clair’s situation, do not become a victim of “Prosecutorial Misconduct”, and to make prosecutors criminally accountable.
