Petition Submitted and Public Response Requested

Thank you for showing your support for this petition asking for accountability and the adoption of standard best practices by the Utah AIDS Foundation. The petition and comments have been submitted to the board and we have asked that a public response be provided to the community at the UAF open board meeting that is normally scheduled for the second Wednesday of the month (April 12th) at 5:30 pm. We have asked that they confirm the time and location of the board meeting and we will forward that information to all of you so that your voices can be heard and questions answered. I want to remind you all that we believe in the incredible staff at UAF and know how hard they work to benefit our community and we are asking that the Executive Director work just as hard to be a visible presence in the community and to provide support for the staff. We will leave the petition open until the 12th of April and I encourage you to continue to share the petition as well as the Salt Lake Tribune article. Take a moment to provide comment on the Tribune article, the more community feedback they see the more likely they are to write follow up pieces that will help prevent this issue from being quietly swept under the rug. This has happened before and no action was taken. We cannot accept inaction this time around. Our community deserves better.
