Grape-kun was a penguin living at the Tobu Zoo in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, who gained much online noteriety for his perceived interest in a cardboard cutout of the anthropomorphic penguin character Hululu from Kemono Friends placed within his enclosure in April 2017. He captured our hearts with his love and had all of us rooting for his happiness. There are many, like me, who followed Grape-kun's story every step of the way, and now that it's reached an end, we want to immortalize him for future generations to come. A statue in Tobu Zoo near his old enclosure would be the perfect spot, so that he could watch the years go by with Hululu just as he wanted.
