There is a "building" issue so a decision was made to cover up the pastel pink yellow and blue used for the background on a mural at King Philip High School. They want to leave the black quotes and silhouettes with a white background. The colors bring life to the silhouettes and words, they're uplifting and bright. Without the colors the quotes will sink back into the plain white walls that were the source of the dreadfulness at school. To top it off more than just the class of 2016 put their handprints up with their names underneath. They are also wanting to cover this up, those students felt good walking away from high school knowing they left their mark forever. Those who never got a chance to stand out had something to be remembered by. As the main designer and person who started the mural in the first place I want this left alone, and it is not only me who feels this way the other creators and by standers feel the same. Something should have been said to us if this was a building issue before months of work was put into it.
