Well, it looks like our petition is growing and growing! It certainly has grabbed the attention of Nesil Caliskan (Leader of Enfield Council)
She responded by publishing a letter in the Palmer Green Community newsletter and by now, Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green residents should have found a copy posted through their letterbox. The letter explains how the council were helpless in challenging the application because their hands were tied by legal restrictions.
That may be the case but the fact that this passed through the system, unchecked, has not been addressed. Due to lockdown rules, telling people to stay at home, residents and local businesses were prevented from making objections. We think this is totally undemocratic and we should be allowed to have our say now.
Fortunately, our Enfield Southgate MP, Bambos Charalambous, agrees with us and is taking it up with both the council and in parliament.
Please help our campaign to get this premises license revoked by sharing on every social media platform you can. We are now aiming for 5000 signatures to show how much this unsuitable business is not wanted in our area!
Thank you, once again, for taking the trouble to sign this petition and leave comments. We appreciate your support.
