When was the last time one of these primitive pistols was used to commit a crime? 300 years ago?!!!
Please sign this petition to allow living historians, historical re-enactors & other black powder enthusiasts to use these unique primitive pistols for recreation purposes.
I am NOT asking for a weakening of our gun laws involving modern firearms, these pistols should never have been placed on a restricted license in the first place. To compare a flintlock, wheelock or matchlock to a semi-automatic hand gun is ridiculous & totally unfair to black powder enthusiasts in Australia. Please help us change this law. These primitive arms will still require a firearms license & registration, it just means that we can use these tools off the range for historical purposes.
Thank you for your time.
Regards, Keith H. Burgess.
