I can own an antique flintlock pistol but I am not legally allowed to "use" it. I can not own a replica antique flintlock unless I have an "H" class restricted firearms licence & I am a member of a pistol club. I can ONLY use a replica on the pistol club range. There is no mechanical/construction/operational difference between an antique & a replica. I do not understand how this law effects public safety.
