We, the undersigned, petition the rime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull and the Liberal party of Australia to instruct nbntm to immediately cease making new contracts with suppliers and contractors for any work on the copper portion of the CAN (copper access network), and a return to rolling out a fibre network comparable (i.e equivalent in latest technology, e.g. Fibre To The distribution point, or construction) to the original Fibre-to-the-premises design rules.

We petition that nbn(tm) fully compensate all suppliers and contractors for expenditure to date that is purely CAN related.

We petition that nbntm also hire competent staff to enable nbntm to return to building as much of the 93% footprint with the best fibre technology as is technically possible - and legal.

Tony Abbott announced 'Destroy the NBN.", and you announced a 'Faster; sooner, more affordable' NBN in 2013.  Since then, we have seen the introduction of the MTM (MultiTechnology Mix)

You totally ignored a petition from 272,000 (disappointed) signatories.

Even now, many people are becoming more aware of the inadequacy of the MTM and many, many more will do so in coming years.

This petition gives you 'one last chance' to salvage the wreck of  the telecommunications infrastructure because ignoring it could quite possibly put an end to your current government's control of the parliament.
