UPDATE: 3 DATES for Fair Funding
Dear Friends - thank you for joining the Fair Funding fight in Cherry Hill, we have our work cut out for us! This year 100s of School Districts across New Jersey are making noise. We MUST get louder.
In the short-run, it comes down to 3 DATES:
1. Tomorrow, Friday, February 22. FRIDAY CALLS continue. PLEASE take the 5-10 minutes to make the calls:
Suggested script: “My name is ________ and I am calling from Cherry Hill to urge you to fully fund our schools' SFRA for the upcoming budget. Cherry Hill students have been shortchanged for many years. As a result, the Health and Safety of our students and staff are at stake. Our buildings are deteriorating, security needs improvement, and infrastructure is crumbling. For too long, we have been doing more with a lot less than other districts, and now our schools are at their breaking point. Our district receives half of the money it should get from the state. This isn't fair.”

2. Come out to our next Fair Funding Meeting, February 28 (next Thursday) at 7pm at Malberg. NEW PEOPLE ARE WELCOME and ALL QUESTIONS and COMMENTS will be heard.
3. We are assembling a posse to march on Trenton on March 5. We have on good authority that 70 OVER FUNDED School Districts will be protesting. We can't be silent and continue to be underfunded while districts with beautiful facilities, security, technology and more are going to be out in full force! Will Cherry Hill be heard?? SAVE THE DATE, details to follow.
IMPORTANT: THIS YEAR WE FACE THE POSSIBILITY OF MOVING BACKWARD IN FUNDING! MILLIONS of dollars are in the balance and the loudest voices will be heard (and compensated) as we have seen year after year. We're in this together, and YOU can make the difference!
