A group of armed youths threatened Woolworths staff and fled with cash and cigarettes in a terrifying hold up in Melbourne last night. Four youths, three armed with knives, robbed the Oakleigh South supermarket at 8:30pm on Wednesday. Four youths terrorised staff and robbed the Woolworths store on Wednesday. Horrified witnesses urged others not to enter the store as the thugs threatened staff and escaped with their stash and fled in a white car. No one was injured and the suspects are still on the run. A masked thug stood by as his accomplices robbed the supermarket. Victoria Police are investigating whether this hold up is linked to another three robberies that took place in supermarkets across Melbourne's south-east.
