A DRIVER has been dragged from his car in a carjacking in a suburban shopping centre. The victim had been sitting in his gold 2010 Toyota Yaris when he was approached by three men at Southland shopping centre in Cheltenham about 1.30pm today. One of the trio, who had his face covered, dragged the driver from the Yaris and stole his mobile phone. The three then took the car and drove away. Police said the victim was shaken but uninjured. It is believed the thieves stole a set of numberplates nearby which carried the registration 1CE 6TU. The men had arrived at the scene of the Yaris theft in a white Toyota Hilux which had earlier been stolen from Dingley Village.
