Our tour focusses on these themes: that orthodox Judaism does not advocate settler-colonialism and that there are more similarities between Judaism and Islam than many people know; Rabbi Weiss from New York is enthusiastic to explain that the Torah declares there should be no mass migration of Jews without the Messiah; the only way we can recognise the Messiah is that he would bring world peace; given the present tensions in the world, a plainly unlikely prospect! For his part, the Muslim on the tour, Dr Azzam Tamimi, wants to talk about political Islam and the Umma, how colonialism is responsible for so many conflicts between modern Islamic states. Pete Gregson will talk about holding Britain to account for its actions against Palestine.
