Since Saturday’s Stand Up To Racism march drew an estimated 30,000 people but garnered not one mention in the media, I thought I might seek to redress the matter by penning my own report and sending it to the press. So here for you is what I sent 130 journalists yesterday:

I’ve had no response. I’ve tried to make it funny; at the end there was the mass love-in when the two protests – the Anti-racism and the Climate Rebellion - unexpectedly arrive at Whitehall together – and my encounter with the English Defence League (lucky I’m Scots), etc. Please read it if you have a mo.
Labour Against the Witch-hunt (LAW) and the Weekly Worker
Also of interest to you petition signers might be this article published in the Weekly Worker, which I subscribe to and gets posted to me. Printed on proper paper and with excellent articles, well-written and researched, with a lot of stuff on Israel and the IHRA definition and the nascent battle to get rid of it. It is headed “A paper of Marxist polemic” but thus far it doesn’t read as too leftist to me, a bourgeois revisionist.
The most recent issue has stuff about our petition, included within a longer piece headed “Anti-Zionism and self-censorship” and worth a read. In it, I read exactly why LAW won’t support our petition – it seems there are two points they object to. Support from LAW is, I feel, critical to progress on our scheme; they hold the keys to getting hundreds more to sign, and important publications refuse to promote the petition if they will not support us. So I need to address the concerns of LAW. If you are interested to read what they are, read on and get in touch.
Appeal for Help
The LAW Committee say that to change their official view I must submit a motion and attend their LAW members meeting on Sat 1st Dec, in the PM. Another trip to London is quite a drain on my resources and I wondered if any of you signers were in LAW (or wanted to join LAW for £10) and would be willing to attend and submit the motion on my behalf. It would require you presenting my carefully researched arguments, which you can boil down any way you like. Other News
Being on the demo meant I got hold of some excellent publications. One such is from the Revolutionary Community Group and is headed “Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!”. These phrases would normally have me screaming off into the distance, as I get pretty bored with left-wing propaganda as a rule ( I see myself in the middle of the Party, a social democrat and a Corbynista).
But this magazine is first class – as good as the Weekly Worker and 20% cheaper, at 80p a copy. As usual with these publications, you can read it free online. It notes in its article “Defend Palestine Solidarity: Fight Back” of 16/10/18 that “the PSC [Palestinian Solidarity Campaign] has decided it will comply with the IHRA definition and at its events its representatives now say next to nothing about Israel…”
This explains to me why the PSC have studiously ignored all my emails and why I recently got the boot from PSC Scotland. It’s an astonishing revelation to me, anyway, to learn that the PSC have muzzled themselves on Israel - for fear of upsetting the Zionists.

Needless to say, I always send articles to the Weekly Worker as well as any other publication I can find – none will publish, possibly because I lack LAW support… And that matters to me. Promoting the petition remains our major challenge – we need hundreds more signatures if the NEC are to take us seriously.
GMB Matters
My defence to the GMB: the response to the allegations against me for anti-Semitism can be read here- I submitted it on Thursday 15th November, on the deadline date I’d been set. Now it’s up to the GMB Scotland Committee to decide what they will do; I imagine I shall be called to a disciplinary hearing. Yesterday (Nov 19th ) there was a National article “Anti-Semitism row in new twist- Union reports Shop Steward Gregson to his employer” about how the GMB now seem to want to get me the sack. It has gotten me quite worried; I never thought my employer would be drawn into this. Luckily, I live in Scotland and am on good terms with the SNP, and they have a common enemy with me when it comes to rabid Zionists, so I might yet be safe in my job. Rhea Wolfson has attacked a famous and highly-respected SNP blogger, called Grousebeater, for this posting on her, and forced the SNP to sanction him (yes, they have the IHRA too, something I suspect they are coming to regret). She has really upset the SNP and that IS NOT A GOOD THING. Her prospects as Labour MP for Livingston North grow dimmer by the day. She is fast becoming a liability for the GMB too. Hopefully the Scottish Labour Party will some day realise she is not going to get them any extra votes in an election.

And Finally..
Today the Labour Party NEC Disputes Committee meet to decide my fate. To try and gain support, on Saturday morning I wrote them with an email headed “Why Bother” which claimed that if they did what I propose they could net 2.7 Million extra votes when an election is called -possibly as soon as March, if Brexit falls apart.
