Thank you for bringing this concern to the attention of the Lee County Board of Commissioners.
As you wish to recommend a change to Lee County’s Animal Control Ordinance, you must bring suggested changes before the Consolidated Human Services Agency Board (CHSAB). They would make the necessary recommendations to the Board of Commissioners. Then following with the necessary Public Hearings to determine whether or not to make changes to the Ordinance.
May I suggest you attend the next CHSAB meeting and sign-up for Public Comments to submit your proposal as it pertains to Trap-Neuter-Return. The Board allows, as I understand, each speaker three minutes to provide their comments.
The CSHAB meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Lee County Government Center in the Gordon Wicker Conference Room. I encourage you to arrive early to sign up for Public Comments.
