I'm sure just like every other Nova Scotian it is no mystery how the increase in power costs will impact families all over Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia power continues to take what is not there's just to keep a 9+ % profit for the share holders.

Nova Scotia Power is essentially holding Nova Scotian's for ransom every time they are not happy with the profits projected. At what point does the provincial or federal government step in and help the people with such an important resource to keep the lights on?

The proposed rate increase of 10% on average over 3 years for residential rate payers as well as a $8/kw/mon imposed rate for people who will invest in solar on their property to make the world a better place is just criminal.

The federal government just recently stepped in to help with childcare and implemented several options for private daycares, one of which was to forfeit the establishment to the government. All in a quest for affordable childcare rates at $10/day.

Why are they not focusing on the crazy profitable corporations like Nova Scotia Power where they can make a real change and reduce the cost of living 10x.
