This Wednesday as I uploaded several videos (the first being a 4 part series on Ronald Reagan) of problematic historical figures based on the viral post "What Historical Figures Would You Fight?" I immediately received the notification that my account was permanently banned for repeated Community Standards violations. Unfortunately, no method was offered to appeal the decision and no rationale was given. I have had several people attempt to troll my account with race-baiting language and comments, but I largely ignored or blocked them. At the time of my Ban, I had surpassed 16K followers (roughly 15K who had followed me solely to learn more historical content) and over 1.5 million views of my videos.

In the weeks from my "What Historical Figure would you fight" stitch, I focused my content solely on historical content and responding to the requests of my followers to discuss history that they had no prior knowledge of or had not been exposed to in their own academic careers. TikTok was giving me an outlet to get more people interested in the field of History and demonstrate that it is not about memorizing names and dates. I have never engaged in harassment on the platform of any kind whether that was racial, sexual, religious, xenophobic, transphobic, homophobic... etc. My posts were always focused on humor and education.

My fear is that my account was spam reported because someone did not agree with the content that I was posting and wanted to deter it from appearing on the app or get my account banned.
