Tonight on a TikTok live I was talking to my followers about the issues I am having with my ex wife. She petitioned the court for more child support and I received the final papers today. She knows about how badly I need this surgery. This was a deliberate thing that my ex has done. I have been saving money for my FFS and GRS surgery that are coming up in April and June. I now don’t have enough money to cover the copay for the surgery. My followers had me set up a gofund me and some of them asked if I had anything I could sell. I said yes I have a few guns. We continued to talk about this and soon I got a notice that I am banned from going live for 5 months. No warning, no shorter amount of time. I have contacted the gentleman that you sent me his email address. I hope he can help. I'm just extremely emotionally raw right now. I had my dreams in view and literally in an instant those dreams have been wiped away. I'm hoping that TikTok will lift the ban but I am not hopeful for that at all. I know that this was done out of malice by the haters that are on the app.
UPDATE:
I checked my main TikTok account just a few minutes ago. The account has been restored and they said I did not violate any of the community standards. I know I will have to watch what I say and show on the live and on my videos from now on. We need to do something about this. The haters should not have that much sway in getting someone banned or even getting kicked off the app.
UPDATE:
On Saturday January 9, 2021. I was with some friends at their home doing a live stream for TikTok. During the 4 fours I was on I dealt with the normal haters, transphobes and religious zealots, that just show up and spout their hatred on me and my followers. I'm used to this and usually just mute them or my moderators do this also. Towards the end of the night, almost 4 1/2 hours since the start of the live stream, I had someone come in and say that "you shouldn't be talking like that, there are children around." I responded very kindly and politely, that any children should be in bed at this point. I don't cuss on my live stream normally and tonight was no exception. Approximately two minutes later I get a notice from TikTok, I'm banned and the live stream has been terminated. I checked TikTok see what the violation was, it read it was for vulgar content. There was no vulgar content in my live stream at any time. I also noticed that there was only one complaint for the whole night. It is amazing to me that one person can hold power over a creator to talk to their followers and with the click of a mouse or a keyboard, can ruin that person's livelihood. This is not right as there is no recourse to appeal it and explain what was going on. I like TikTok and so do all my followers, but the rules governing TikTok must change so that everyone is on the same ground, no one is treated any differently than the next creator. Thank you for your time and support.
