Dear Supporters Firstly a big thank you for the flurry of shares following my last #alwayscarrytwo petition update, we are only 1400 off of 50,000 signatures. We can do this. Please keep sharing. Now to the other reason I contact you so soon after my last update. Many of you will have seen Amy May Sheads story published in the national newspapers and radio. Amy May worked as a producer on ITV This Morning. Whilst on holiday with friends in Budapest in 2014 she inadvertently consumed one bite of a meal containing peanut, she had notified the chef and been assured it was safe. The contamination lead to immediate severe Anaphylaxis and cardiac arreast. Amy died for six minutes which lead to permanent brain injury. She now has to have constant support. The Amy May Trust has with Amy's agreement shared her story nationally to prove that 'Nut Allergies Are Serious'. They have also started a petition to ban nuts on aeroplanes, something dear to Amy & her family's heart. In just six days the petition has topped 276,000 signatures! How amazing. As you know travel restrictions are part of our campaign. We need to carry two pens for travelling around a foreign country but also for protecting 38,000 feet up in the air in a confined space from our allergen. I always encourage anyone with a passion to create change to speak out on social media. Petitions can be very powerful tools these days. They educate, they communicate, they have the power to create change. Please if you haven't seen or signed Amy's petition then do so and share to. Its amazing how internationally the support is pouring in and how social media is rife with discussion, most positive, of the danger of nut allergy and as importantly other allergies too. The petition link is below. Thanks all. Regards, Angela
