Every action brings us one step closer to protecting the character of Lake Washington for generations to come, and we can’t do this without you. Join us tomorrow 10/1/26 at 5 p.m. at the county commission offices in Viera (Building C, Commission Chambers), where the rezoning application and the request for a binding development plan will be heard by our five county commissioners.

The City of Melbourne is opposed. The Planning and Zoning Advisory Board is recommending a DENIAL. It is up to the five Commissioners to decide the fate of this request and the future of our community.

The Lake Washington community and all of our supporters need to show up and be heard. If you’d like to speak, you will need to complete a speaker card when you arrive.

Each speaker during the public comment period BEFORE the application is heard will have TWO MINUTES. Please come prepared. The vote will take place after the application is heard. It is number 7 on the agenda (the last application).
