Please sign this petition to revive the Rolie Polie Olie TV series that used to show on Playhouse Disney, as many fans who watched the original episodes of the series want more new episodes to be aired on Disney+ and other television series.

 

**BACKGROUND**

Twenty five years ago, Rolie Polie Olie was a success with viewers and critics on Playhouse Disney and Disney Channel since 1998, and has won a series of Emmy Awards. As of today, the show still airs on Disney+ and continues to remain relevant with a big fanbase. 

Recently, William Joyce announced on 2020 that he was planning on making new episodes of Rolie Polie Olie in a Twitter post shown in a Disney Plus article.

Then, William Joyce posted some updates showing sneak-peeks of planned new content for Rolie Polie Olie on Instagram:

Afterwards, William Joyce attempted on submitting a pitch for new episodes of Rolie Polie Olie, but according to a (now-deleted) comment that was posted by the creator on Instagram it was previously rejected by Disney on 2022 due to the company inexplicably stating that the reboot is similar to the original series.

According to William Joyce, Disney attempted to change the series by forcing the creator on watering down the series by either possibly changing the premise of the show or reducing Olie Polie (the titular main character) into a "jaded and depressed" character.

But if you read between the lines of William Joyce's comment stating that Disney rejected his pitch for the Rolie Polie Olie reboot for being identical to the original series, it is made apparently clear that he is telling us that the Disney Company's dismissal of the reboot is a sign of the company missing the opportunity to allow the show to have new episodes for long-time fans of the series and not offering as much strong storytelling as before. This decision of taking this approach resulted in some families and fans of Disney ultimately being driven away.

It is clear that William Joyce is against the idea of his own show is in the risk of being damaged by Disney's executive approach - and he sees fit on being given full creative control on producing new content of the series that he sees fit under his intended envision. This would become apparent in one of William Joyce's Instagram posts, suggesting to the fanbase of the show if they want more content of Rolie Polie Olie due to the show remaining a hit with audiences and critics.

 

**THE SOLUTION**

However, if we convince Disney to come to their senses to realize that Rolie Polie Olie still has a supporting fanbase, and give them the opportunity to give the greenlight to the Rolie Polie Olie reboot. Then it would be great news for William Joyce and many fans of the series, and therefore William Joyce will be able to make new episodes of the show after all.

This is the time to act, as many fans of the original series greatly anticipated that a new reboot of Rolie Polie Olie was in the works confirmed in online news articles, as William Joyce stated that he was looking forward to show the happiest cool stuff he has in store for the fans - such as new merchandise, characters, and locations promoting the reboot of Rolie Polie Olie - he wanted the series to stay timeless and unique from many different shows produced by other creators, as well as the series staying true to its roots.

 

**WHAT CAN YOU DO?**

Sign this petition, and let Disney know that you loved Rolie Polie Olie ever since your childhood, and that you want to let your kids and newer generations to experience new episodes for the series by giving Disney the opportunity to allow William Joyce to make new episodes of Rolie Polie Olie. Share this petition with other people and help William Joyce bring Rolie Polie Olie back - and he will be able to resume development on the Rolie Polie Olie reboot and bring this idea to reality to life!
