Dear Friend,

We are grateful for your support of our continued effort to reunite the family of my former Army interpreter, an Iraqi family that has sacrificed everything for the United States. We want to put this effort back on your radar and provide an update that there has been recent development in the family's refugee case that has us cautiously optimistic that they will be reunited in America in the near future. While we are hopeful, we are also guarded because this family has been down this road even farther before, specifically in 2016, only to be rejected hours before they were to board their escape flight which has added to this day almost EIGHT more years of waiting.

We are still not as close as we were in 2016, but things are certainly moving in the right direction. Our fight is not over until the family members in Iraq associated with this case escape their home country, land stateside, and clear US customs. Please share our petition. As difficult as this ordeal has been on the family, they would not have been back in this position to potentially be reunited again without your support. Hopefully this time, there is a happy ending!

Appreciate all of you and hope to have another update soon.

Pete
