Dear 45,000 (!) Supporters, Last night, on day 1,658 of 76yr old Grandpa Kamal’s detention in Evin Prison, we got our first bit of good news from Tehran for a long long time. Grandpa Kamal was taken yesterday to hospital and was given a medical including a number of tests. We’re still trying to find out the details of exactly what tests were done, and get hold of the results to discuss them with his doctor. Having spent years privately asking for the medical and getting nowhere, it is incredible that just one month after going public, and as soon as you started signing the petition in big numbers, the Iranian authorities have acted in providing this basic human need.
