We are only about 2,500 signatures short of 40,000 but it's time to deliver

Dear Supporter, Thanks to your incredible help over the last few weeks, our petition has almost hit the 40,000 signatories mark. I had hoped we might reach at least 50,000 by the time we delivered it to No. 10, but I don't think that's realistic any more, as it seems to have stalled in the last week to ten days. A round 40,000 would be good, though, and I am still hopeful that we may be able to do it before our planned delivery date some day in the week of 10th September (it takes about two weeks to have the petition delegation approved by Cabinet Office security). Hopefully, this will be in time before the expected 'mini-reshuffle'. With this in mind, I would again encourage you to a final effort by sharing this petition as widely as possible so we can reach our 40,000 target.
