Hello all 261,184 of you!
And, if you are one of our 70,000 new signatories in the last week, welcome to the #FreePeriods movement!
I wanted to update you on the new legal campaign we launched last week, calling on the government to provide funding for free menstrual products in all schools and colleges for those who need them.
I am thrilled to say that we hit our initial £10k target, which is brilliant! We now move on to the next stage of our fundraising, with lots of work to do to develop a strong and robust legal case.
We have set our next target at £50k and we need your help more than ever!
You can donate here. Just think - if every one of you was able to donate just £1, or the price of a packet of pads, we’d raise over £200,000!
Your voice is also incredibly valuable to us - please can you help us to spread the word about the legal campaign?
You could:
- Share this page on social media
- Send the link via Email/WhatsApp to 10 friends: https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/freeperiods/
Here are our #FreePeriods film and posters and here are some examples of what you could share (although of course please do write whatever you feel inspired to share!):
“I am part of the #FreePeriods movement and I’m calling for an end to period poverty. We need free menstrual products in ALL schools. Help us fund our legal campaign to make this happen: https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/freeperiods"
“#FreePeriods has launched a legal campaign, so all students can access free menstrual products at school. Find out how to get involved: https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/freeperiods
Thank you again for your extraordinary support.
Amika and the #FreePeriods team xx
