Hello all 10,743 of you! The Guardian has published an article that makes for a chilling read: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/jul/27/poverty-driving-people-to-choose-between-eating-or-keeping-clean-in-kind-direct Families are facing such crippling poverty that increasing numbers are going without basic hygiene essentials, including sanitary products. A report from the charity 'In Kind Direct' has discovered that thousands face a stark choice every day - eating or keeping clean, and the number is on the rise. The problem is particularly acute amongst young people. The charity distributed £20.2m of hygiene products last year, a rise of 67% from 2015. This is staggering. We need to work harder than ever to pressurise the government to address poverty in schools today. Young girls in families where poverty is damaging their health and education must be given a way out. Today, PLEASE ask one person you know to sign our petition- this really will make a difference! https://goo.gl/D4kKLs Thank you so much! Amika George
