No Elmo.
No updates.
No news.
No truth.
I've had a call from the director at DWP last week to apologise, but like I said to her, apologies are good but it's the truth I want. I want to know why Tim lied and I want to know what really happened.
We need to know what happened to Elmo.
It has been a month now and the only suspected sightings were of him dead on the day he vanished.
We have had to tell our little girl that Elmo might be in heaven now, that she will always love him and he will always love her but that she won't be able to see him again. It's just heartbreaking trying to explain to a two year old that their best friend in the whole world probably isn't coming home.
She found a feather the other day - Elmo loved feathers and he always brought them in through the cat flap - and she picked it up and said she was going to take it home and keep it for when Elmo comes home.
We were walking near our house a few days before that she she started shouting "Elmo! Elmo!", then turned to me and her dad and said "Elmo no answer me" and was just sad, so very sad.
Tim could have helped, instead he lied and he broke our hearts and kept the pain going. He took away the chance for us to say goodbye to Elmo and now we will never know what happened.
