There needs to be more spinoffs like Jorge Joestar even after the main JOJO series is done

The Issue

The JOJO franchise has unlimited potential which is why there should and must be more Spin-offs like Jorge Joestar. Essentially turning it into the overreaching expansive franchise it always had the potential to be. The JOJO franchise was originally made and started by Hirohiko Araki, it has been going on for many years now and is still currently running. It has developed a wide fan base and is loved by many all over the world. It is the story of the Joestar bloodline and their allies fighting against evil and the bizarre and strange adventures they take in order to do so. The main series is separated into ‘parts’ with each parts protagonist being related to the Joestar family in some way. The franchise can be downright weird but it is that weirdness coupled with the action and adventure that made people fall in love with the franchise. Along with compelling stories and interesting characters that contributed to the franchises success.

The power system of this particular franchise is rather unique compared to others, it originally involved a power know as Hamon/Ripple which was created from special breathing techniques and training which could mimic the energy of the sun and be used in a number of different ways before slowly transitioning into a new main power known as stands although Hamon/Ripple did make a return in later parts but this time under a new name and form known as Spin while still keep stand power, stands which is one’s fighting spirit, life force, and soul personified and grants the user unique and odd powers that can sometimes reach ‘hax’ levels such as manipulating and controlling concepts & ideas such as time, space, the elements, and so on and so forth in a number of different ways. Stands can appears in such ways as separate humanoids, weapons, a part of one’s body, transforming one’s body, sentient beings, items, objects, weapons, Phenomena, a location, a place, and countless other ways. The unique powers make the battles and conflicts creative and mixes things up so that they are not so straightforward in order to make sure things do not become dull and boring. Also the wielders using their wit and intellect combined with their powers in order make sure things stay entertaining and interesting. The power system does not tie down the JOJO franchise as a whole nor does it limit what it can do because the JOJO franchise is unbelievably flexible.

As the story progressed and the surrounding world was explored, the supernatural elements grew as well. With strange and fantastical races such as zombies, vampires, cyborgs, pillar men, ultimate lifeforms, stone organisms, ghost, cleansers, and yōkai just to name some of the races that have shown up and are apart of the JOJO franchise. Along with mystical, odd, and powerful objects and artifacts appearing in the franchise such as the bow & arrow, stone mask, red stone of aja, zombie horse, saints corpse, and the locacaca fruit are some examples of this. Another thing to note are the paranormal locations that exist within the JOJO universe such as the ghost girl’s alley, shakedown road, the devils palm, and the wall eyes. There are also supernatural phenomena and concepts such as possession, ghosts, blood bounds, spiritual connections, curses, mountain gods, unicorns, the avatar of deities, and so on. As supernatural world grew so did the surrounding JOJO universe’s cosmology in an astronomical way, it established the existence of a multiverse. infinite timelines, dimensions, realities, and universes have been confirmed to exist through the existence of a multiverse.

As of now the main JoJo series has entered part 9. While amazing and wonderful it raises many questions and concerns such as how long will the main series keep going, is part 9 the final part, and should the the franchise keep going even after the main series finishes? I can’t answer the first two questions but as a fan of the JOJO franchise all I can say is yes. The JOJO franchise’s popularity is unbelievable and is loved by so many it would be horrible for it to just stop. With the supernatural elements and weirdness the franchise is known for the sky is the limit. Also the fact that their is no real true norm for the JOJO franchise anything can happen. Even now the JOJO franchise has already made spin-offs but their is one noticeable one that changes everything on what and how far the JOJO franchise can go and what they can do, Jorge Joestar.

Jorge Joestar pushed the bizarreness, action, and adventure up to a whole new level. Jorge Joestar also heavily expanded, affected, delve deeper, grew, and pushed the cosmology way past it’s limit. It essentially cranked everything up to an eleven as it made the battles and conflicts grandiose to match and it also took the use of intellect, wit, and ingenuity on a higher level. While Jorge Joestar is a non-canon spinoff that is not necessarily a bad thing because it means it does not conflict with the main series continuity but is still technically part of the greater JOJO franchise and is an extension of it. Jorge Joestar saw the return of things such as zombies, vampires, and ultimate lifeforms. Another thing that also made a return was the bow & arrow and the saints corpse(albeit in a strange yet very interesting way) it also saw the heavy usage of the multiverse and time travel. Not to mention the eldritch location the cube house and it’s later evolved form the arrow house. Along with the return of preexisting characters many of whom have been amplified and enhanced either through gaining a new power, are empowered by some new power, or are just more powerful than their original main counterpart. Many of them gaining many new and more impressive ‘feats’ to signify how different they are compared to there main series counterparts. Along with powerful new original characters have been introduced to the JOJO franchise. While also introducing even more new miraculously powerful and important characters, like Tsukumojuku Kato. Speaking of power Jorge Joestar introduced three new powers Wounds(manifests from a person's repeated physical and emotional trauma. They are less controllable than Stands and tend to serve a purpose of stopping the user's source of pains and Stands are also capable of gaining Wounds which results in them evolving, Wounds may cause the user more harm as well), Bounds(allows an individual to fully combine with an element or environment, or transform into the environment itself.), and Beyonds( a metafictional ability that extends beyond time and space and is the physical manifestation of the user's will to control their destiny. Beyond has an infinite power and can communicate with their users. This ability is depicted as a separate entity entirely from those who possess them. It goes beyond space and time and In order for Beyond to work, its user must believe in their Beyond). All of which Showcases how unbelievably flexible the JOJO franchise is and how the powers don’t tie down the franchise and aren’t really that important to the franchise as a whole. While I am willing to admit the Jorge Joestar is not without it’s ups and downs. It is not a complete masterpiece from start to finish, Jorge Joestar like anything else has its faults and it does have mistakes but that is not the authors fault because after all it is the first of it’s type of spin-off to join the JOJO franchise. So as the old saying goes practice and experience make perfect so more possible and potential spin-offs could learn and improve and not make the same but Jorge Joestar was onto something with what it was doing. So long as their is a method behind the madness everything can workout properly. Jorge Joestar proves and shows that such ‘next level’ and ‘next tier’ of bizarre adventures suits the JOJO franchise. Many have compared Jorge Joestar to fanfiction but that it is not necessarily a bad after all even fanfiction can be very good and rival mainstream/authentic literature so long as it is well written and the characters are compelling. In fanfiction anything can happen and that surprisingly fits perfectly in with a franchise that prides itself on its insane and crazy adventures and journeys. Which is why their should be more material like Jorge Joestar and why the sky is the limit with what can in happen said possible and potential spin-offs.

Craziness, insanity, and weirdness are the norm for JOJO. Every time you think you understand what the franchise is capable of it goes to a whole new level and the franchise is all the better for it. The franchise was first gifted to us by hirohiko araki and it can act as his legacy. By living on for him when he is no longer able to continue writing the main series with potential spin-offs that are connected through the existence of a multiverse and by being part of a greater expansive franchise. Spin-offs that constantly push the cosmology past it’s limits and use the multiverse heavily. If the JOJO can have a multiverse why not give it an omniverse. A  multiverse is infinite timelines, universes, and dimensions side by side one another. While an omniverse is similar to a multiverse but on a much grander scale, it is infinite multiverses side by side one another. With an omniverse the idea literally anything can happen is possible for the JOJO franchise. It can also allow for non-canon spin-offs such as Eyes of Heaven and Jorge Joestar to be connected to the main continuity by having them happen in a separate multiverse which at same time makes sure it does not conflict or mess with the main series/continuity. An omniverse can allow for unimaginable and unbelievable bizzare adventures to happen. Not to mention an omniverse can allow for an infinite amount of different types of strange and odd adventures to happen with them not needing to be tied down to one singular world, dimension, or realm.

The main JOJO series told a connected story, but the franchise could and should branch off into numerous unrelated spin-offs and side stories that present new takes one the same basic concept, bizarre adventures. Spin-offs that could introduce more strange and supernatural species that have unique capabilities and powers. Odd, bizarre, and paranormal races who potentially have their own biological evolutions and offshoots. Along with new ways to empower and evolve the existing powers by introducing new artifacts, rituals, supernatural areas, different power-up variations/variants, training, experience, ingenuity, personal growth, personal development, creativity, and etc. Also be new ways to attain and unlock their powers. Spin-offs that can also introduce new types of powers like how Jorge Joestar did with the three new types of powers it introduced. Here are a few ideas for spin-offs, some using and containing material from the main series and some not. The Stone Humans gain their own equivalent to the Ultimate Lifeform, a return/revamp/restart/reboot of Baoh the visitor one of Araki’s older works which in turn makes it an official part of the greater JOJO franchise, a new type of ritual where instead of trying to attain heaven they try to descend & reach hell, The original creator of the Bow & Arrow using the artifact to empower select who inadvertently would  go on to create the celestial & mystical myths/legends that many people in the present would know as folk tales from the wide variety of cultures available. An extremely powerful yet nefarious company with a corrupt leadership and deep ties to the occult has big plans for not only for one world but multiple, a group made up of various but unbelievably powerful people from different timelines/universes all of whom each wields a different type of never before seen stand-like power/abilities go on a journey that spans countless dimensions to stop an entity that came from outside of creation which threatens to destroy everything, extraterrestrial alien beings with vast virtually pan-dimensional meta abilities while also wielding advanced science that is practically magic gain an invested interest in earth(if it were to use and contain material from the main JOJO series it could have something to do with Mikitaka Hazekura and the Meteorite that was used to make the Bow & Arrow), demon-like entities wielding practically biblical levels of esoteric powers wish to raise hell on earth, divine forces and cosmic beings decide to punish all mortals for trying to attain the power of the heavens & for messing with the holy/saints corpse, a return to the sci-fi aspect of the franchise such as cyborgs/robots/androids/etc, a continuation or sequel to Jorge Joestar where even more preexisting characters from the original main series ‘levels up’ in many new different ways such a getting more impressive ‘feats’ and introducing even more unbelievably powerful original characters being introduced because if the main JOJO series can have multiple parts why can’t or shouldn’t Jorge Joestar have multiple parts as well all the while further exploring and expanding Wounds/Bounds/Beyonds. These are just a few spinoff ideas that would expand and push the boundaries of the cosmology and could work because the JOJO franchise is known for weird, bizarre, and insane adventures where literally anything can happen.
