When I Decided To Take A Stand And Blow The Whistle On Wrongdoing I Believed I Witnessed, I Did So Hoping It Would Lead To Accountability, Protection, And Positive Change. Instead, My Decision Came With Severe Personal Consequences. The Retaliation, Intimidation, Financial Growth, And Institutional Resistance That Followed Placed My Loved Ones In A Precarious Situation No Family Should Ever Have To Endure.

 

My Children Became Caught In The Crossfire Of A System That Too Often Fails To Adequately Protect Families Who Speak Out Against Alleged Abuse, Corruption, Misconduct, Exploitation, Or Failures Within Institutions Intended To Protect Children.

 

This Petition Also Raises Concern About Situations In Which Allegations Of Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Exploitation, Rape, Incest, Neglect, Or Family Harm May Be Ignored, Mishandled, Minimized, Improperly Investigated, Or Allegedly Covered Up Due To Institutional Failures, Conflicts Of Interest, Abuse Of Authority, Fear Of Liability, Corruption, Or Retaliation Against Those Reporting Concerns.

No Child Should Ever Be Left Unprotected Because A Parent, Guardian, Advocate, Or Whistleblower Chose To Speak Up.

 

The Journey Of A Whistleblower Is Already Filled With Uncertainty, Fear, Financial Hardship, Emotional Distress, And Potential Retaliation. While Adults May Choose To Face These Risks In Pursuit Of Truth And Justice, Children Should Never Become Targets, Leverage, Or Collateral Damage As A Result Of Their Parent’s Courage.

 

Currently, There Remains A Dangerous Gap In Protections For Families Of Whistleblowers, Especially In Cases Involving Family Courts, Child Welfare Systems, Institutional Abuse Allegations, Or Misconduct Claims.
