The Last Chance for Lighthouse Point campaign salutes 2020 Goldman Environmental Prize winner Kristal Ambrose for her ground-breaking work on plastic pollution in The Bahamas. Ms. Ambrose who lives on Eleuthera said that "Lighthouse Point is a very special place to me and many other people on Eleuthera.” She added: “ I know from my work on plastics that business-as-usual will not assure the health and productivity of the waters around our islands. I support the call on Disney to abandon plans for a massive cruise ship port there and instead to work with local groups on a sustainable alternative.”
