COVID-19 has resulted in an unprecedented global shutdown. Already reeling from climate-charged Hurricane Dorian last September, The Bahamas is now suffering from the pandemic. Disney can still demonstrate real leadership at Lighthouse Point.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process is more important than ever as we work to recover and rebuild. Disney has submitted the EIA for the Lighthouse Point cruise ship port to the responsible Bahamian Government agency for an initial technical review. However, it has not yet been made public. More than a month ago, letters were sent to both the Bahamian Prime Minister and Disney regarding the release of the EIA and meaningful public consultation on the assessment. We are still waiting for a reply.

While we must stay focused on halting the pandemic, we cannot lose sight of other challenges. What can you do to help?
