Thanks for all the recent signatures on this petition! You indeed are amazing!

I have a favor to ask of you on behalf of a friend: she's created this petition in hopes that there can be a positive change in the theatre community.

New York City Center's Encores includes the beloved musical, The Light in the Piazza, and my friend hopes the casting team cast a disabled actor as Clara in this production.

We've made strides in the theatre community for better representation, but in terms of including disabled performers with so much to offer, that's still a work in progress.

My friend hopes that enough people can sign up and let their voices be heard to make this happen.

It's not enough to have a black Elsa when theatre should include ALL races, genders, sexualities, and abilities.
