“Unlike war crimes, crimes against humanity can be committed during peace or war. They are not isolated or sporadic events, but are part either of a government policy (although the perpetrators need not identify themselves with this policy) or of a wide practice of atrocities tolerated or condoned by a government or a de facto authority.” (From Wikipedia) The following letters were sent to Professor Leila Nadya Sadat, Chairwoman of The Crimes Against Humanity Initiative: http://law.wustl.edu/harris/crimesagainsthumanity/ Please consider writing letters to Professor Sadat describing your experience with Lyme disease no matter where you live in the world as we are dealing with the 21st Century plague with absolutely no continental boundaries. “Matthis Lacoste is a 33-year-old Frenchman whose chronic Lyme disease has made it impossible for him to work. In response to what he considers to be his government’s callous disregard for the lives of people with chronic Lyme disease, Lacoste has embarked on a hunger strike.” Source: https://www.lymedisease.org/touchedbylyme-le-droit-de-guerire/ Letters to: Professor Leila Nadya Sadat ________________________________________ From: "Carl Tuttle" To: sadat@wustl.edu Cc: ethics@brandeis.edu, cbassiou@depaul.edu, jmendez@wcl.american.edu, "W Schabas" , "chris vandenwyngaert" Sent: Saturday, June 4, 2016 10:07:04 AM Subject: International Human Rights June 4, 2016 Washington University School of Law Campus Box 1120 One Brookings Drive St. Louis, MO 63130-4899 Attn: Leila Nadya Sadat, Director of the Whitney R. Harris World Law Institute Dear Prof Sadat, It is with extreme frustration that I am reaching out to you regarding a serious global health threat misclassified as a simple nuisance disease which has caused untold pain and suffering worldwide. This has been a thirty year deception to the American people and now the world populations as foreign health agencies are blindly following what has been deceitfully established here in the United States. We truly believe this is a human rights violation as hundreds of thousands perhaps millions of debilitated patients are denied treatment or inadequately treated for a disease that is life altering. Would you please take the time to read the email below and attachments to gain an understanding of this growing pandemic? We don’t know where to turn at this point but what has transpired resembles what we experienced with the AIDS epidemic. It was the activists who were responsible for fast tracking drugs through the FDA not the CDC which stopped the death sentence AIDS was known for. Please take this request seriously. Respectfully, Carl Tuttle Hudson, NH Attachments sent to Prof Sadat: Letter to: Professor Chris Whitty, DH Chief Scientific Adviser https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate-calling-for-a-congressional-investigation-of-the-cdc-idsa-and-aldf/u/16809947 Letter to: New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate-calling-for-a-congressional-investigation-of-the-cdc-idsa-and-aldf/u/16579184 Letter from Lori Dennis, Canada ________________________________________ From: "Lori Dennis" To: sadat@wustl.edu Cc: "Carl Tuttle" Sent: Sunday, June 5, 2016 10:20:03 PM Subject: PLEA FOR HELP RE: CHRONIC LYME DISEASE SUFFERERS June 5, 2016 Washington University School of Law Campus Box 1120 One Brookings Drive St. Louis, MO 63130-4899 Attn: Leila Nadya Sadat, Henry H. Oberschelp Professor of Law, Director of the Whitney R. Harris World Law Institute, Special Advisor on Crimes Against Humanity Initiative Dear Professor Sadat, As a follow up to the letter you received from Lyme disease advocate Carl Tuttle, of Hudson, NH, may I ask you to please take a close look the undeniable fact that the global medical mistreatment of chronic Lyme disease sufferers is a crime against humanity. I am the author of the soon-to-be-released book Lyme Madness™, a chronic Lyme disease advocate, and the mother of an adult Lyme sufferer. I was forced to enter this dark, toxic, politically crooked world of Lyme due to my son’s illness. What I have since discovered is that there are millions suffering, few are listening, and there is an entrenched medical community who have for decades now kept those suffering from this disease from getting the medical support and attention they so desperately need. Despite the falsehoods promulgated by the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Centers for Disease Control, chronic Lyme disease is a life-altering, life robbing illness. Yet the powers that be continue to insist that it is a disease that is ‘hard to catch, easy to diagnose, easy to treat.’ Nothing could be further from the truth. Chronic Lyme disease is endemic in 80 countries, and it exists on every continent except Antarctica. Chronic Lyme disease is a neurologic, systemic, bacteria-driven, AIDS-like post-sepsis illness that affects and infects every organ, cell, muscle, and tissue in the body, particularly the brain and the nervous system. Yet the powers that be would have the world believe that it is nothing more than a simple arthritic condition that can be treated simply with a short dose of antibiotics. Due to the global medical negation of this disease, we are not getting adequate medical support. Diagnostics are unreliable, ineffective, and archaic. Treatment is difficult, if not impossible, to find. We are all forced to figure it out for ourselves. And many doctors who dare to treat this disease are having their practices shut down and their lives ruined. The treatment of chronic Lyme disease sufferers is a medical travesty and a crime of immeasurable proportions. We need your help. There are people around the globe working tirelessly to change this dangerous and destructive medical ideology. As hard as we work, and as many appropriate channels that we use to be heard, our advocacy efforts seem to fall on deaf ears or even worse, are often met with ridicule, mockery, and actions far more sinister. I am appealing to you because you are a human rights expert who has made it your mission to 'create a more just and a more peaceful world'. On behalf of the tens of millions around the globe who are suffering from chronic Lyme disease, we desperately need your support. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
