THE UNITED STATES SHOULD FREEZE ALL NICARAGUAN MILITARY ASSETS IN U.S. TERRITORY.

La causa

The Nicaraguan National Police, Parapolice, Nicaraguan army & government shock forces presence  on the streets of Nicaragua has sparked calls for the United States to intervene to end the violent unrest that has killed more than 350 people.

  • The Nicaraguan army has been using military weapons against civilians in the crackdown against deadly unrest. The military is overstepping its constitutional rights in its use of grenade launchers, sniper rifles, military aviation and automatic weapons against civilian demonstrators.
  • President Daniel Ortega has routinely ordered the national police, the nicaraguan army and armed thugs to murder anyone who opposes the regime.  Daniel Ortega is creating crimes against humanity, while the world watches.  Please freeze all Government military assets in the United States.
  • The military controls construction, real estate and financial companies, as well as a hospital, and has investments in the New York Stock Exchange.
  • According to a 2016 review by the Security and Defense Network of Latin America, it operates on an annual budget of $75 million.
