As The United States faces a critical juncture in our history, we must make every effort to insure that there are no improprieties in the investigation or execution of impeachment proceedings against the current resident of the White House. In the past three years, two new Supreme Court justices have been pushed through by the current president despite tremendous public opposition. Since Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh owe their careers and places in history to Trump, they must not be allowed to sit in judgment of him. We, the undersigned, demand that if any aspect of the proposed impeachment of Donald Trump comes before The Supreme Court, that justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh recuse themselves or be recused by the court due to the obvious conflict of interest any such case would create. This action is necessary to preserve the legitimacy of the court and the sanctity of the office of the President, now and into the future.
