We are all aware of the events that are taking place.

Unfortunately, those who hold political power are not going to solve the problems:

• They are unaware; their low level of awareness does not allow them to perceive the problems of others.

• They are not qualified to exercise power: they lack the necessary knowledge and training, and therefore make serious mistakes.

• Above all else, they prioritize preserving their own power and that of their allies.

• And those who might be able to solve the problems do not risk doing so.

Fifty years ago, there were values that some governments respected; there were limits, whereas today almost anything seems acceptable.

With the tools we have today, we can try to redirect the situation, provided that we share common objectives and act together through a strong organization.

It is not necessary to establish new principles; it is enough to adhere to what 193 countries already did in 1945 when they founded the United Nations, and to the agreements adopted in the years that followed. These are principles oriented toward progress, coexistence, and well-being.

We ask the United Nations to widely disseminate the agreements reached at that time, with the intention of educating and informing the citizens of the world about the respect and cooperation necessary for shared prosperity.

The aim is that, united around the United Nations, we may demand that those who hold power comply with what humanity once agreed upon, and that we possess the knowledge and necessary strength so that despotic power cannot manipulate us for its own benefit.
