Guildford Borough Council is applying for City Status. However, their website only allows people to express support for their application. It doesn't allow people who disagree to have their concerns heard.

From chat forums, it appears that there is an overwhelming feeling that the council would be better using the money on other much needed services in the town. For example, improved public transport, decarbonisation, social care etc.
