Because of the judges' opinions, TMB will find it difficult to rule negatively on Dr. Burzynski's going beyond so-called "standard of care" with his terminal patients. The judges clearly understood, as we all do, that "standard of care" is a death sentence for brain tumor patients, and for the vast majority with advanced intractable cancers. The judges realize--as anyone who can fog a mirror must--that if society relied upon "standard of care" for all disease we would still be bleeding patients and using leeches to treat illness. In the end, TMB finds itself having to rule on clerical reporting errors which are minor techinal infractions having to do with billing and other non-substantive issues. How harshly they will rule, and how vindictively they will behave toward Dr. Burzynski is yet to be seen. Instead of recognizing Burzynski's work for its brilliance and contribution to the betterment of humankind, the TMB is standing in the way of what the Preamble to our Constitution assures; namely Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness--especially LIFE! It is the TMB which must be investigated, prosecuted and punished, not Dr. Burzynski! On Friday, March 3, 2017, at 333 Guadalupe in downtown Austin, TX, many of Dr. Burzynski's fearful current and former patients, their families and supporters will hear TMB's decision on whether they will revoke Dr. Burzynski's license or impose strict sanctions inhibiting his ability to treat patients properly. They may try to break him financially with large fines totaling in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, which would put him out of business thereby endangering the lives of desperately ill cancer patients.
