2 days after the murder of two police officers on the Temple Mount and the discovery of stockpiles of weapons hidden on the Mount, the Israeli Police finally upped security measures by installing magnometers at all Temple Mount Gates, not just the "Jewish Entrance". The Islamic WAKF announced that neither they and the Muslim public "will not pass through the electronic entrance gates" terming it "a violation of the status quo on the Mount." As angry Muslim crowds gathered outside the Temple Mount, they chanted (see video from minute 33) "With blood and fire we will liberate Al Aqsa", proving that for them the holy site is simply a platform for murder and incitement. It should be noted that the Temple Mount was closed to Jews today.
